The counting of votes for the election of the head of the Municipality of Mallakastra has also been completed, where the candidate of the Socialist Party, Qerim Ismailaj, was declared the winner, who was re-elected for a second term at the head of this municipality.
He received 5,967 votes, 367 more than the candidate of the Democratic Party led by Enkelejd Alibeaj, Agron Kapllanaj, who received 5,600 votes.
The candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition, Resmi Shanaj, who received 724 votes, ranked third.
This is one of the cases where the split of the DP with two candidates in some municipalities has also led to defeat, as the votes of Shanaj would have been enough for Kapllanaj to win the race and return to the Mallakastra Municipality.
