The process of "Primary" for the Democratic Party candidate of Sali Berisha for the Municipality of Kukes has ended.

Vata is the winning candidate and he will compete against Albert Haliaj from the Socialist Party for the partial partial elections for the Municipality of Kukes.

Earlier, the Berisha group disqualified from the "primaries" the candidate of the Basha DP, Arif Rexhmati, who was seen as a figure who could unite Democrats.

The NP's announcement:

The Committee on Organizing and Control of Electoral Operations of the Democratic Party attended today, Sunday, 27 August 2023, the Primary in the DP of Kukës to elect the candidate for the partial elections for the Municipality of Kukes.

Candidates in the primary were:

1- Ardian Sokol Elezi

2- Name Hajji Vata

3- Joy Beqir Shehu

4- Uran Rakip Cengu

5- Ylber Haxhi Zeneli

The process opened at 8 p.m. and closed at 00 p.m.

After the counting of the ballot papers, according to the official minutes arrived by the Voting and Numurimity Commission, the winner was declared: Mr. Vata name.
The Committee of Organizing and Control of Electoral Operations thanks all members who became part of the voting process for the election of the Candidate in the early elections of the Municipality of Kukes.
