Prime Minister Edi Rama is holding a meeting this afternoon with the deputies of the Tirana district, but also with the leaders of the Tirana Municipality.

At this meeting, which is taking place in a hotel near the center, are the new socialist legislators of the Tirana district, as well as the acting mayor of the Municipality, Anuela Ristani.


The details of the discussion of this meeting are not yet known, but an analysis of the work of the local government is expected, as the current mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is under the security measure of "prison arrest".

This meeting comes after Rama has requested the dismissal of directors in the Vlora municipality and leaders of the Socialist Party branch.

It is learned that the Prime Minister was at the Municipality of Vlora this morning, accompanied by the Minister for Local Government Arbjan Mazniku, at the meeting held behind closed doors.

It is not yet known whether his decision is related to the coastal city's problems with drinking water or the fires in the waste field, a phenomenon that repeats year after year and has had an impact on the tourist season.
