Rama: Those who stand out will be paid more!
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the government will not stop with the salary increase for teachers.

During an activity for security in schools where 240 security officers were engaged throughout the country, Rama said that the average salary of a teacher is 950 euros.

According to the head of the government, this is a significant increase within which there is an escalation according to experience and according to the criteria established in a journey of teachers.

Rama emphasized that those teachers who stand out will be paid better.

Rama also said that the reason why we are not like Switzerland is "because for a very long time we have lagged behind in knowledge". "It is knowledge that turns natural resources into common wealth and enables the country to transform faster" , said the head of the government, among other things.

Rama: We have not only focused on buildings and infrastructure, but also on strengthening the authority of the teacher and the continuous motivation of the teaching staff. We have done this with all the necessary means, but above all by setting as a strategic objective of our policy, the continuous increase of teachers' salaries. Today, with the intervention at the end of June, we managed to bring the average salary of teachers to 950 euros. It is a significant increase within which there is an escalation according to experience and according to the criteria established in a journey of teachers, where those who stand out are paid better. We do not intend to stop here. The aim is that in 2030 Albania will be a champion in all directions, mainly EU membership .
