The 15 candidacies for the position of the People's Advocate have been qualified by the parliamentary committee for legal issues to continue with the next phase, that of finding supporting firms to vote in parliament.

Among the most potential names to go to the plenary session are the former president of the Constitutional Court, Vitore Tusha, or the member of the Appeals and Sanctions Commission, Ilirjan Rusmali.

After this stage, the parliamentary groups will have to negotiate among themselves, due to the fact that the election of the People's Advocate requires a minimum of 84 votes, which imposes political consensus in the parliament hall.
