"What do we want in the EU, you painter, we are leaving without passports...", is this ironic phrase of a commentator on the social network Facebook, to which Prime Minister Edi Rama decided to respond this Saturday. Through his column "Sy m'Sy", the head of government emphasizes that the European passport is needed not only to realize an old dream, but also to restore the dignity of Albanians.

"Dear Kristi, when you say you are a painter, do you mean to show that you are right? Because you think you do not need the European passport of Albania, since according to you we are leaving without passports?! The European passport is not needed to leave, but to leave, to leave... Even with the one we have! You are right! The European passport is needed to finally gain the dignity of an equal European citizen. The dignity of the European traveler who is not pulled aside at every entrance to the EU to be asked by a policeman, where are you going? The dignity of the European student, the dignity of the European employee, of the free, equal person who enjoys every European right and every opportunity offered by the European solidarity network. Are these few?! Now, despising the work of others is easy, but it does not help you live better. On the contrary, my grandmother used to say, black and powerful anger!" , Rama expressed.

He further called on citizens to vote for the Socialist Party on May 11th.

"We are changing Albania every day. So vote for the 5th without any regrets, the only worthwhile thing you can do. Beyond the remarks, criticisms and dislikes because only I, the Socialist Party, together with you and the majority of Albanians can make this epochal and historic breakthrough for the country and bring it to the European table, an old dream and an equally old trust ," Rama concluded.
