With the status approved today by the National Council of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi is no longer the chairman of the group. The latter has not spared an answer for Basha, once close allies and today opponents. Bardhi has chosen to answer Basha with a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky.

"Living in disillusionment is a personal misfortune. Consciously deceiving others and above all yourself, for the umpteenth time, is unforgivable", writes Bardhi.

Bardhi's reaction came after the National Assembly of the Democratic Party approved changes to the party's new charter.

Thus, Speaker Lulzim Basha will also be the head of the Parliamentary Group, when this party is in opposition.

In article 48, the possibility of delegating this post is provided, but always with the consent of the chairman of the Democratic Party.

When the DP is the governing majority, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group is elected on the proposal of the Chairman of the Party by the National Council, by secret ballot, between no less than two candidacies. When the DP is not the ruling majority, the Chairman of the Party is also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group.

The Chairman of the Party, with his authorization, may appoint one of the Vice-Chairmen of the Party to lead the Parliamentary Group.

Another statutory change that was approved is the exclusion from membership of those who have run for other entities. So all the candidates of Sali Berisha who in the elections of May 14 ran with the Freedom Party with the logo of the coalition "We win together".
