Closure of the opposition protest

The opposition protest in six main axes of the country has ended after almost three hours.

Dozens of militants of the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party have blocked traffic for three hours on the Tirana-Durrës highway, Elbasan, Rrogozhinë and up to Milot, Fier and the Levan-Telepenë axis.

The normal circulation of vehicles has already started, while the democratic deputy Flamur Noka has announced the end of the protest.

During the protest, there were small incidents with citizens who tried to pass the checkpoints of the protesters, as well as confrontation with the police, however, the situation was generally calm.

Police preceded the protest, diverting traffic to alternative routes.

"Today was an extraordinary day, the whole of Albania today was in the hands and in the power of the opposition. I want to thank all the citizens who responded to the opposition's invitation to this great step of civil disobedience. I also want to thank the Albanian citizens who did everything to avoid the collision and obeyed the call of the opposition to stay in their homes.

Today was a black day for the narco-regime. Civil disobedience has begun to bear fruit. Civil disobedience will be what will bring solutions to the Albanians. The technical government is the only solution for Albania and Albanians. The civil disobedience will continue, we will inform you about the next steps", declared MP Flamur Noka at the end of the protest.
