Analyst Fatos Lubonja, in an interview on News 24, said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has turned into a Maduro of Albania.
According to him, Rama has captured the state and fixes the result of the elections as he wants. For Lubonja, Rama did the same in the Himara elections.
But the analyst also had a strong criticism of the opposition, saying that it may be in its last throes and that it may have 'sold' the elections in Himara, due to some interest.
"SP is 1,500 votes ahead in Himare, when many of the SP functionaries are involved in land grabbing. This has no morals. But, capturing all the institutions, the results come out as Rama wants. There are phenomena that need to be investigated, such as the growth of the population in a given municipality at election time.
I doubt that the opposition has sold the elections, for some interest in Himara. I have doubts that there was a bargain with Greece for the elections in Himara, and maybe there was even a silent agreement with Beleri himself.
There are many people who "don't care much about democracy", but about personal interests. I'm sorry to say, but these seem like the last throes of the opposition in Albania. When businessmen are captured by the state, when the government captures the state, this will happen. The opposition will probably survive by putting on a facade ," said Lubonja.
