The General Secretary of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, arrived a few minutes ago at SPAK. Gjiknuri has been summoned to testify in SPAK as a person who has knowledge of the issue of abuses that occurred during the implementation of the Tirana-Elbasan road project.
Gjiknuri, at the time when he was Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, reported to the prosecutor's office the abuses found in the audit report carried out for the implementation of this project and the responsibilities of the former managers of ARRSH. The former minister ordered the audit and submitted the report in December 2017. He is expected to give explanations on this matter again today after the innocence of the former officials who were reported.
