"This is the last September that finds us in the opposition". This is how Sali Berisha began his speech at the meeting of the Democratic Council, expressing optimism for the victory of the opposition in the 2025 elections. He called on the democrats to ask for the vote of the citizens with the confidence of victory, while he accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of destroying the electoral process.

"The DP takes power in 2025. The rotation cannot and will not be delayed any longer, the rotation is in our hands, in our courage and sacrifice and there is no other option, we have entered the ninth month before the final electoral battle. We have the final confrontation against the evil that in 11 years destroyed the real electoral process, plundered and condemned the Albanians. Every democrat when he asks for a vote for PD must be seen in his eyes, must be heard in his voice to read in their soul and body conviction for victory. Today, more than ever, victory lies in our courage, faith, and our hands," said the chief democrat.

He said that throughout these years the DP was wounded, but today, according to him, it is stronger than ever.

"These years, the PD was hurt quite a bit with the attack that was done to us. We fought more in defense than in attack. We had to protect our flag, the pluralism that was giving spirit to the Albanian opposition, but today this battle is over. The reality is new, today we are united, we are the PD stronger than ever".

Berisha said that the elections will be the most difficult test in 32 years for free voting.

"We are at a defining moment for our present and future. We are in a test in the most difficult test of conscience, courage of our future in 32 years. This is among the most complex we have ever gone through as democrats, but now more as citizens towards the most sublime truth of man. This truth is the truth of the free vote that, just like in the Stalinist dictatorship, dies before our eyes, of our partners, without even entering the box. This sad funeral before the voting day is served with great fanfare by Rama, his slanderous propaganda. "Rama mobilizes even the most defamed human race, the opponents of the opposition who, like psychic eunuchs, celebrate in chorus that Rama won the elections and the opposition lost," concluded Berisha.
