"I'm an ice cream... My hands are clean"

Today, the Special Prosecutor's Office signed an arrest warrant for the former mayor of Durres, Vangjush Dako, and some former officials of the Municipality of Durres. Shortly after the issuance of the arrest warrant, Vangjush Dako surrendered to the Police Directorate of Tirana.

Former officials of the Municipality of Durrës for abuse of office and falsification of documents, for the construction of 3 floors without permission 11 years ago.

Among those arrested are Adhurim Qehajaj, former director of Urbanism, and Lira Kërtusha, a lawyer at Urbanism. Arrest warrants have also been issued for; Adi Limeta, Roza Kovaçi, Edlira Kertusha, Adnand Tocila, Fiqir Farruku (builder).

Meanwhile, 4 years ago, in an appearance on the "Opinion" show, Dako rejected the accusations against him for corruption, making a statement that made the rounds of the network at that time.

"I am ice cream. Look at the hands here, they are clean", declared Dako, that now it is clear that the ice cream is...melted.
