The Mayor of Piana degli Albanesi, Rosario Petta, conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of Albania's Independence, emphasizing the indissoluble bond between the Arbëresh community and the Albanian homeland.

"Happy November 28, the Albanian Independence and Flag Day, from the Arbëreshët of Horës and the Arbëreshëvet," Petta writes in his greeting in Albanian, underlining the community's pride in its origins and traditions that have been devoutly preserved for centuries.

Piana degli Albanesi continues to remain one of the most important centers of Arbëresh culture in Italy, where the Albanian language, customs and symbols are passed down from generation to generation.

On this significant day, the city municipality joins the nationwide congratulations and celebrations, turning November 28 into a living bridge between Arbëresh tradition and Albanian identity.
