The deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, reacted after the CEC returned the request authorized by Lulzim Basha for the registration of the Democratic Party in the May 14 elections and the setting of a 48-hour ultimatum for the submission of complete documentation.
In a post on Twitter, he writes that the statements from the CEC have nothing to do with the law, but the formalization of an extralegal political will. While he emphasized that " there will be no completion of the documentation as long as it is submitted in full".
"The PD has submitted the complete legal documentation for registration. Today's political declarations of the CEC have nothing to do with the law, but are the formalization of an extralegal political will. There will be no completion of the documentation as long as it is submitted in full!", stated Gazment Bardhi.
During today's meeting (March 9), Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi said that Lulzim Basha and not Sali Berisha is the president of the DP in court, so it is up to him to authorize the party's registration in the May 14 elections.
"The presented documentation is not complete for the reasons I said, so I will give you 48 hours to make the necessarily required additions for the statement of the chairman of the Democratic Party", said Celibashi .
