Although it took the opposition very few days to forget the political accusations that the elections in Himara were stolen, its complaint about the August 4 elections will be examined on August 21 at the Commission of Complaints and Sanctions at the CEC.

The body of 5 members will meet to see if the opposition's claims of irregularities in the election stand and accept its request for invalidity in the election, or if they will uphold the decision that declared Vangjel Tavon of the Socialist Party the winner with a margin of 1477 votes .

The most important issue on which the coalition "we win together" requested the invalidity of the elections was the impossibility to vote of citizens whose identity cards had expired.

In the appeal, the opposition accused the majority of using the administration in the election by "landing" as they called it, ministers in the last days of the campaign or intimidation of voters, businesses and hotel owners.

According to the opposition, Tavo was favored in the competition by the state institutions even for the "Headline" of his campaign, the granting of property titles. 

After the decision of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission and further, if the decision of the KAS is sent, also of the Electoral College paves the way for Vangjel Tavo's oath and his sitting in the chair of the mayor of Himara.
