On February 9, 2025, citizens in Kosovo will go to the polls to elect new lawmakers to the Assembly and the government that will lead the country for the next four years.

The date of the parliamentary elections was set this Friday afternoon by President Vjosa Osmani.

Through a post on social media, Osmani has informed the citizens that he has decreed February 9 as the date for holding regular parliamentary elections.

This decree is in accordance with the constitutional and legal deadlines that define the period within which the next elections must be held.

"The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kosovo is instructed to undertake all the necessary actions for the organization and holding of the elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo in accordance with this Decree and the legislation in force", says the document published by Osmani .
