Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha concluded the electoral campaign in Shkodra today, with a rally organized together with the candidates of the "Together We Win" coalition.

During his speech, Berisha called on Shkodra residents to vote for Bardh Spahina on May 14, who said he governed with a socialist City Council but never considered them as Taliban.

According to Berisha, Bardh Spahia is ten times closer to the people of Shkodër than Benet Beci, who represents Edi Rama. He appealed to SP candidate Benet Beci that he has 48 hours to withdraw from the race.

"It is a great honor to come here today for your support, for the future mayor and the current mayor, Bardh Spahia. I invite you on May 14, in your most excellent tradition, in your dedication to freedoms, to your dignity of Shkodra, vote number 1. It's a vote for political pluralism, it's a vote for your ideals, no city, no community has sacrificed as much as you for pluralism and its values. Your merit is that you never turned your back, despite the sacrifices you were forced to make. I invite you to vote for Bardh Spahi, the candidate of political pluralism. Vote for the man who, during a short period of government, did everything to improve services, to use all possible resources transparently , did everything to preserve and protect the dignity of Shkodra, its great name.
On May 14, you vote for the Municipal Council, but Bardh Spahija should be recognized for another merit. I am coming from Lezha, on the way I see that Pjerini had written: the Taliban are coming. I remembered Bardh Spahia who governed with a socialist council and did not describe the opponents as Taliban, but described them as people with whom he had to negotiate and make compromises, so that the municipality would remain for all the citizens of Shkodra.

Bardh Spahia has given a great test and I guarantee the socialists of Shkodra that Bardh Spahia is ten times closer to them than Benet Beci who represents Edi Rama. So the citizens of Shkodra should vote for Bardh Spahina. I'm saying two words to Benet Beci again: you have 48 hours left, pull back and have some honor left. "Inviting Shkodran citizens to vote for Edi Rama's flag will remain a hostage for the rest of your life," declared Berisha.
