Prime Minister Edi Rama conducted an exclusive interview on "Albania Live" with Sidorela Gjon.

During this interview, he focused on the ongoing protests in Tirana, stating that they are not a test of strength, while adding that he will respect the 'contract' he has with Albanians, referring to the past elections.

" Perhaps taken out of context, it seems like I had a dilemma. It wasn't a dilemma, but an opportunity in the conditions where the things I'm here become impossible. If we talk about it specifically, I have a contract with the Albanians and I will respect it until the end. It's not discussed.

What is the problem with protests happening in relation to what I said? Protests are part of democratic life in a free country. Protests are not a measure of strength nor are they measured by numbers in the sense that regardless of whether the numbers may be small or large, they are measured by goals, the cause and the demands. The fact that I and the SP were voted in with a majority, which is very significant, does not exclude the fact that some people live in this country, have a different opinion and want to express it. These are two things that do not exclude each other , "said Rama.
