The former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka , appeared before the court today where he presented the conclusions of the defense regarding the Incinerator case.

Koka claims that he did not commit any legal violation and that the payments for the construction of the incinerator started in 2018, while he left the post of minister in 2017.

The former minister stated that the accusations against him are based on the personal opinions of MP Monika Kryemadhi and not on evidence.

"The accusation is based on personal opinions of the fortuneteller, not on evidence. Basic criterion of the criminal process. Believing in the infamous couple is the same as investing in Sudja and Rrapushi in the last days of bankruptcy", said Koka before the jury.

He has demanded justice, stressing that he will not stop looking for it and that with evidence and facts he will prove the guilt of those who deprived him of his freedom by fabricating embarrassing evidence.

"This structure is not a fortress that you must defend together, but it is the fortress of every Albanian to get justice.

I will not wait until my last breath, not only in this court to prove my innocence. With evidence and facts to prove the guilt of those who brutally took away my freedom by arresting me and then fabricating shameful evidence", he said, among other things.

Lefter Koka is accused of having committed criminal acts: " Abuse of duty " committed in collaboration, " Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials" , as well as "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in cooperation, provided by articles 248 and 25, 260 and 287/2 of the Criminal Code.

Që nga viti 2003 kur mora edhe detyrën e kryetarit të Bashkisë Durrës, kam qenë subjekt i deklarimit të pasurisë dhe pronat që disponoj janë fryt i punës time të ndershme dhe jo i ryshfeteve, as i trafiqeve, as i prostitucionit e as i të qenit aksioner anonim në shoqëri ndërtimi, e për të atillë më njeh Durrësi qyteti im e më gjerë.

Do ngushëllohesha në izolim nëqoftëse kallëzimin do e kishte bërë cdokush tjetër Shqipëtar, por të bëhet nga ai cift famëkeq është e trishtë, e të besosh tek ata është si të investosh tek Sudja e Rrapushi në ditët e fundit të falimentit.
