Selected to take office as the new US ambassador to Albania, David Kostelancik delivered his speech in the US Senate. Kostelancik described the fight against corruption in the countries of the Western Balkan region as the main goal of the United States.

He emphasized that based on his 30-year experience and great desire to strengthen the US-Albania partnership, he is the right one to be the new ambassador in our country.

"It is an important task for other countries of the Western Balkans region as well. The judicial reform will help Albania move forward towards European institutions. I will strengthen the partnership with Albania, I have followed the relationship established by the staff of the American Embassy in Tirana to help Albania in coping with cyber attacks from Iran. We must therefore strengthen the defense against these attacks, even in the future.

To protect the online infrastructure of Albanian government services. I will strengthen the business climate in Albania to encourage American investments, to create a transparent market for new investments. Albania is making progress on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, if I am confirmed by the Senate, I will have the honor to build on the basis of my 30-year experience, the strengthening of relations between Albania and the United States.
