Former President Alfred Moisiu was honored today with the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle.

Moisiu, in his speech after receiving the medal, said that he has dedicated his entire life to the nation.

He said he thanks his family, friends, and colleagues, who have served as a source of motivation in his work.

"Thank you very much for this medal. At my age, 96, this award takes on a different meaning for me, as a testament to my efforts for the country and its citizens. I thank my family, colleagues, and friends who have given me strength and continuous motivation."

"I consider this medal as a message that value, work and integrity always remain precious. In my family, love for the homeland has been an inherited motive. I assure you that I will continue, regardless of age. I will always be at the service of our nation ," said Moisiu.

At the solemn ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the Order of Skanderbeg, a number of prominent personalities in various fields were honored.
