Prime Minister Edi Rama , from the Youth Assembly of the Socialist Party, has criticized former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who has been in detention since July 2023 after an arrest warrant was issued against him by SPAK.

While speaking about the Justice Reform, the head of government stated that "the one who until yesterday was one chair ahead of me, today is being sought by justice."

"They will say that we are a gang of thieves," said Rama, addressing the young people in the hall, while adding that "because here is the one who was with us until yesterday, even one chair away from me, is today in the hands of justice or is being sought by justice."

The head of government stated that the socialists used their power to give independence to justice. He emphasized that "if it weren't for us, there wouldn't be a single person connected to the current or past political power before the courts."

"They will say that we are a bunch of thieves, because here is the one who was with us until yesterday, even one chair away from me, is today in the hands of justice or is being sought by justice.  But you will tell them that if it were not for us, the socialists, who used our power to give independence to justice, today there would not be a single person connected to the current or past political power before justice, as there has never been before since 1912 until we carried out the Justice Reform," said Rama.
