After the drastic loss suffered in the elections of May 14, Sali Berisha in a statement to the media does not accept the defeat, while saying that Edi Rama manipulated the elections and massively bought the vote.

"The 2023 election farce as the ugliest electoral farce in Albania and Europe is getting worse every day. The preliminary report, although it is preliminary and not final, puts its finger on the major problems of these elections, starting with the electoral state machinery, as a destructive monster of the electoral process, as an act that overturns the greatest inequality in the electoral process, it stops at all the anti-legal forms of interference in the will of the Albanians by the government, underlines the massive vote buying, as well as other pressures of the mafia administration, more present than ever in the voting centers and the voting process.
