The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, delivered his speech at the close of the opposition protest in Tirana, in a statement to the media in front of the blue headquarters.
Berisha thanked the protesters for their participation and resistance, while demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"A brotherly greeting, an infinite gratitude. With your courage, bravery, and endurance, you honored more than ever this historic date of the Albanian nation, the overthrow of the communist dictatorship 34 years ago. But at the same time, you also gave the most deserved blow to today's dictatorship. This was a brilliant battle and I guarantee that the next one will be even more brilliant and that for Edi Rama there will be no more lair, no more mouse hole to enter. The peaceful uprising of the Albanians will give them the punishment they deserve. It will lead them to their cruel ancestors," Berisha declared.
