The request of the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj has incited a debate in the Sterilization and Check Up Investigative Commission.
He requested that the testimony be accompanied by illustrations of photos or videos.
This was opposed by the chairman of the commission, Albana Vokshi, inciting a debate between her and the vice-chairman Plarent Ndreca.
Vokshi: Who are you? Do it at Surreli not here.
Ndreca: We are the majority
Vokshi: Make the statement and read it that the power point is not included.
Ndreca: Are you going to take away his right to speak? You will define the word, how will he give it?
Vokshi: It is an investigative commission. Statement, not presentation.
You have another political leader, Edona, that appeared on Sky Ecc. You made plans with the lawyer all night. Yes, why did I do a scientific conference, it has never happened, a statement as much as the law allows, not a gram more. Why didn't you do the same for others? Ben Ahmetaj asked for it, he was not allowed.
Ndreca: Your discourse is very poisonous for the testimony we are waiting for.
The former Minister of Health, Ili Beqaj left his cell this Tuesday, as he entered the Parliament accompanied by numerous police forces, while he removed his sweatshirt to cover his handcuffs.
Beqaj is accused of the issue of Sterilization together with the former deputy/minister of Health, Klodian Rrjepaj, businessman Ilir Rrapaj and 6 others.
The former deputy minister Klodian Rrjepaj and the beneficiary of the concession Ilir Rrapaj have been in handcuffs since August last year.
Beqaj was arrested on July 4 of this year for another case, where he allegedly abused the funds of the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination, SASPAC, during the time he was in charge of this institution.
