The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, was today invited to the show "Zone Zero" on Top News, where he commented on the political developments in the country.

Basha also commented on the behavior of PL leader Ilir Meta, who has recently undertaken a campaign of attacks against SPAK, but also against him personally. "Ilir Meta exists politically, as long as he exists", said Basha, further saying that Meta is the person who benefited more politically from Edi Rama.

Milaim Zeka: They say that this man has slipped, where do you say it was done for the Church of Laçi. Where does he support all these criticisms against you?

Lulzim Basha: All his accusations have no basis. It is a fact known not only by the democrats, that Ilir Meta continues to exist politically as long as it exists. Because of the trafficking that has done to the votes of the Democrats. In 2013, he was denounced by Rama for the video he caused on January 21, then he was embraced by Edi Rama, many say because of an offered immunity. No one has benefited more politically from Edi Rama than Ilir Meta.

Milaim Zeka: Did you lobby the right-wing parties against Albania?

Lulzim Basha: No, it's not true! When I am asked about the situation in Albania, of course I tell the truth. I can be restrained in my use of language, but we live in an open source society. Forget anyone who won't tell the truth about Albania. But the facts are shocking, as the DASH report shows today and that of Freedom House. These are challenges for me and the DP.

Milaim Zeka: In the meetings you have with Europeans, Americans... how do they see Edi Rama and Ilir Meta?

Lulzim Basha: I do not undertake to be their spokesperson, but the concern is obvious.

Milaim Zeka: Do they support you?

Lulzim Basha: Coherence requires me to restrain myself in this case as well. We have a very good communication with internationals, because our objectives match.
