Veliaj's arrest, Socialist Party parliamentary group meets urgently

Shortly after the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group met.

The meeting is being chaired by the head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Niko Peleshi. There is still no official reaction from the Socialist Party regarding Veliaj's arrest.

We recall that at the time of Veliaj's arrest, Socialist Party leader and Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Shkodra, and it was reported that he canceled meetings there to immediately return to Tirana.
