The Central Elections Commission has reacted after the statement that the commanding chairman of the DP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, has so far received 0 ALL for the local elections on May 14, despite the fact that the CEC has allocated a fund of 1 million euros from the state budget. .

The CEC, through a press release, informs that it has approved the decision since April 22, but the State Budget deals directly with the distribution of funds.

NOTICE

Explanation from the Central Election Commission 05.05.2023

Based on some concerns reported by some electoral subjects regarding the delay in the distribution of the amount of funds from the State Budget that is given as an advance to the parties participating in the elections for local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023", the CEC clarifies that :

The fund for elections that benefit the political parties participating in the elections was approved by law by the Parliament of Albania on 13.04.2023. The said law entered into force on 13.04.2023 and was sent to the Central Election Commission on 20.04.2023.

The State Commissioner of Elections on 22.04.2023 approved decision no. 397, "On determining the amount of funds from the State Budget that will be distributed as an advance to parties participating in the elections for local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023".

The distribution of party funds based on the relevant decision of the State Commissioner is made directly from the State Budget.
