In an official reaction to the incident that happened the day before at the Skopje airport, the presidency of Kosovo declares that it is a pure and tendentious provocation to cause an incident.

The Presidency has made all the dynamics of the created situation and adds that the authorities of Skopje should treat this event seriously and take measures against the persons responsible.

In response, the Presidency expresses its indignation at the statements of the Ministry of the Interior of Macedonia and the false news, recalling once again the Vienna Convention that protects dignitaries in their travels.

The reaction of the Presidency of Kosovo

Instead of an apology, yesterday and today the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia fully justified the request of the airport security to take and scan the personal phone of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, which is also used by the head of state for communications. official for national security issues. The president has rightly rejected such a thing, based on the advice she has been receiving from the security institutions for years.

In fact, today the Skopje Airport, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Macedonia themselves, admitted that the order was given by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia for such a control, which completely contradicts the rules of handling heads of state according to diplomatic practices.

We are once again clarifying the situation as a whole:

1- According to international practice and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, when heads of state travel, they are protected by diplomatic privileges and immunities. This is universally known and so far it has been respected by every country where the President has traveled, including countries that have not recognized Kosovo. The Macedonian side has been officially notified in advance of the President's trip in accordance with diplomatic practices.

2- It is not true that the President refused to scan her handbag. First, the President did not have baggage as propagated in numerous reactions in the media, in North Macedonia. So it is a lie that she refused to have her luggage checked. She had a personal hand bag which she immediately placed in the scanner, even though the security, according to international convention practices, had no right to request such a thing. The only thing that the President refused to hand over was her phone.

3-  Është skandaloze të pretendohet nga kushdoqoftë se gjoja Presidentja kishte diçka të dyshimtë në çantën e saj. Jo vetëm se është një e pavërtëtë e madhe, por kjo njëkohësisht është akuza më e rëndë dhe propaganda më e rëndë e bërë ndonjëherë nga media në Maqedoni të Veriut në drejtim të Republikës së Kosovës. Edhe më skandaloze është deklarata e sotme e MPB-së, se kinse ministri i brendshëm i Maqedonisë së Veriut paska pasur disa informata, të cilat kanë shpier tek kërkesa për kontroll të çantës personale dhe telefonit të Presidentes. Kjo është tendencë e paprecedentë për denigrim jo vetëm të Presidentes, por edhe të shtetit të Kosovës. Maqedonia e Veriut duhet ta ketë parasysh që një propagandë të tillë është duke e bërë kundër një Presidenteje, e cila gjatë gjithë mandatit të saj ka kontribuar vetëm e vetëm në thellimin e raporteve pozitive ndërmjet Kosovës dhe Maqedonisë së Veriut.

4- Nuk është e vërtetë se kompania private apo koncesionarët e aeroportit janë mbi shtetin dhe mbi konventat ndërkombëtare të cilat përcaktojnë rregulla të qarta për trajtimin e kreut të shtetit. Edhe Aeroporti i Prishtinës është i koncesionuar dhe menaxhohet nga kompani private, por ne nuk lejojmë asnjëherë që një president i një shteti tjetër të trajtohet në mënyrë të tillë jodinjitoze e arrogante dhe të kërkohet t’i merret telefoni personal për vendosje në skanerë.

5- Një gjë e tillë është jashtë çdo praktike dhe bie ndesh me protokollet e sigurisë dhe praktikat ndërkombëtare, duke qenë se telefoni i Kreut të Shtetit dihet qartë se përdoret për komunikim zyrtar, përfshirë edhe për çështje të sigurisë. Në kundërshtim me këto standarde ishte edhe kontrolli i çantës së dorës së Presidentes, por ajo përkundër kësaj menjëherë e ka vendosur çantën në skaner.

6- Edhe pse Policia e Kosovës ia ka komunikuar paraprakisht zyrtarëve të aeroportit të Shkupit rregullat e aplikueshme në situata të tilla, ata kanë tentuar ta pengojnë fizikisht Presidenten, me ç’rast në përputhje të plotë me protokollet e sigurisë, ka reaguar profesionalisht Policia e Kosovës.

7- Situata e djeshme në Aeroportin e Shkupit nuk mund të shpjegohet e as të vlerësohet ndryshe, përveçse si një provokim i pastër dhe tendencë për të shkaktuar incident.

8- Në vend të arsyetimeve dhe lejimit të propagandës kundër Republikës së Kosovës, kërkojmë nga autoritetet zyrtare në Shkup që me urgjencë ta trajtojnë rastin me seriozitet të lartë dhe të merren masat përkatëse ndaj zyrtarëve që kanë bërë këtë sulm ndaj Republikës së Kosovës.

9- Nga SHBA-të e deri te shtetet e tjera të rajonit, në çdo udhëtim të Presidentes respektohen në plotëni rregullat e trajtimit të kreut të shtetit dhe ASNJËHERË nuk kërkohet të preket, e lëre më të dorëzohet në skaner as telefoni i Presidentes, as çanta e dorës e as valixhja e saj (carry on).

10- These are rules that every state respects, and non-recognising states have also respected them, because the head of state represents the state itself. So Kosovo in this case is not asking for anything other than the norms that are respected everywhere in the world. Any violation of these norms is considered a violation and disrespect to the state itself.
