Jurgen Kollçaku , arrested by the Police in Berat as part of a criminal group, turns out to be the grandson of the deputy of the Socialist Party, Bardhyl Kollçaku .

The criminal group dealt with the sale of doses of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, in different areas of the cities of Berat and Kuçovo.

Four of its members, Jurgen Kollçaku , Gjergji Braha , Kleo Doko and Sherif Isaj , were put in handcuffs . The arrests were made after 2 months of investigations which then brought the finalization of the "Surveillance" operation.

Police announcement in Berat :

The coded police operation "Surveillance" is finalized after a two-month investigation, with proactive methods, for documenting and cracking down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics.

A criminal group dealing with the sale of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa in different areas of the cities of Berat and Kuçovo was hit.

4 members of this criminal group were caught and imprisoned.

Quantities of cannabis sativa narcotic substance, cold weapons and military ammunition are found and seized.

Based on the information provided by the police intelligence, about some citizens who were acting in the framework of the criminal group, to sell doses of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, in different areas of the district, the specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section of DVP Berat and those of Kuçovo Police Station, have initiated a criminal proceeding at the Prosecutor's Office of Berat, with the aim of full legal documentation of this criminal activity.

As a result of a two-month investigation, with proactive methods, within the coded police operation "Surveillance", citizens JK, 23 years old, Gj. B., 26 years old and KD 18 years old, all three residents of Kučovo, as well as citizen Sh. I., 19 years old, resident of Berat.

From the evidence provided by this operation, the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Berat assigned to these citizens the security measure "Arrest in prison", as they were suspected of acting in the framework of a criminal group dealing with the sale of doses of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, in different areas of the cities of Berat and Kuçovo.

During the checks in the homes and vehicles of these citizens, quantities of narcotic substance cannabis sativa, 3 cold weapons (2 knives and 1 fist enhancer) and military ammunition were found.

Investigative actions continue in order to identify and arrest other citizens who may be implicated in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Berat General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
