Valentino Garavani, the renowned Italian designer who dressed stars and royalty, has died at his home in Rome at the age of 93.
The news was announced by his official Instagram profile.
"Our founder, Valentino Garavani, passed away today at his residence in Rome, surrounded by his loved ones," details were provided for the inquest, which will be held on January 21-22.
"The funeral will be held on Friday, January 23rd at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri in Piazza della Repubblica."

His brand, founded in 1960, became known for its bold reds and details like ribbons, frills, lace, and embroidery. Valentino is one of the most prominent architects of 20th-century style.
Valentino has been one of the favorite designers of stars like Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman and Anne Hathaway.
"I know what women want," he said in his documentary "Valentino: The Last Emperor": "They want to be beautiful."
Valentino retired in 2007. In 2008, he presented his final haute couture collection at the Musée Rodin in Paris.
Valentino was honored with the title of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by French President Jacques Chirac in July 2006. Two years later, he was awarded the Medal of the City of Paris.
In 2011, he received the Couture Council Award for the Art of Fashion from the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, as well as the American Academy of Achievement's Golden Plate Award in 2017.
