Famous comedian Elvis Pupa has reacted after Australian media reported that he and his wife, Belina Pupa, had built a grass house.
Elvis Pupa, in a post on social media, states that he has not escaped, as Australian media reported, but added that he has been in Tirana for more than a month due to professional commitments.
"I want to make it very clear: I have been in Tirana for more than a month, where I am carrying out regular professional engagements, planned in Albania and beyond in Europe," he emphasized.
Regarding the "bar house", the comedian says that it is a legal process that is still ongoing and that his wife, Belina Pupa, is free.
"As for my wife, Belina, she continues her professional activity and is completely free. The entire situation that is currently being addressed is part of a legal process that is still developing, and as she herself has expressed, it is up to justice to have the last word," emphasized Vis Pupa.
He concluded by saying: "We will face every situation with calm, transparency and respect for the truth."
Full reaction:
Dear friends, colleagues and collaborators,
I am forced to react to some untrue and malicious news circulating in the media, according to which I have allegedly “escaped” and “am wanted.” I want to make it very clear: I have been in Tirana for more than a month, where I am carrying out regular professional engagements, planned in Albania and beyond in Europe.
Any attempt to present this situation differently is pure manipulation of information, a deliberate misinterpretation aimed at making news where there is nothing extraordinary.
As for my wife, Belina, she continues her professional activity and is completely free. The entire situation that is currently being addressed is part of a legal process that is still ongoing, and as she herself has stated, it is up to justice to have the last word.
Unfortunately, we have seen a serious misuse of the news, for the purpose of sensationalism and clicks, where distortion has taken the place of truth. Our lives are public, but this does not give anyone the right to abuse people's dignity.
Life continues as normal, with our work and daily responsibilities. We will face every situation with calm, transparency and respect for the truth.
Thank you for the understanding and support that many of you have shown us.
With respect,
Elvis Pupa
