"Police always guilty", Zebërvoki resigns from the State Police: I can no longer stand this campaign against us

Marius Dervish, known to the public as Zebërvoki, has decided to end his career in the State Police. This is an unexpected decision, but it was taken only after the protests registered in the country where many citizens are "throwing mud" at the blue uniforms regarding the way they are managing clashes with protesters.

Through a post on "Instagram", Zebërvoki emphasizes that he will submit his resignation in the coming days, further clarifying that this decision made by him is not related to dissatisfaction with the profession or colleagues, but to the way in which, according to him, police work is perceived and treated by citizens.

He says he feels demoralized by the generalizations made about the blue uniform, emphasizing that the daily work of the officers and the difficulties they face in the field are often overlooked.

"I have not sold my righteous soul and, beyond every other good that God has given me, I still choose to be an effective police officer, but I am 'abandoning' this passion, driven by the anger and hatred that you as a people have for police officers and by the generalization you make by considering all police officers the same," he writes.

Full reaction:

We are the 'POLICE WE DON'T WANT', and for this reason, as of Monday I am submitting my resignation from work.

Not because they're bad cops, not because I don't love my job anymore, but simply because I don't want to make any kind of contribution to anything anymore.

Cops are always criminals, cops are always violent, cops are patronizing – whatever epithet you have given us.

The media is against it, the people are against it, and in fact, we who are victims are being portrayed as perpetrators.

I can't stomach this kind of campaign where the POLICE are to blame for everything.

I have not sold my righteous soul and, beyond every other good that God has given me, I still choose to be a police officer, but I am 'abandoning' this passion, driven by the anger and hatred that you as a people have for police officers and by the generalizations you make by considering all police officers the same.

But don't forget one thing:
