A characteristic of the child should be taken into account: once he has started to walk, he can not stay in one place for a long time. The only element that keeps it "connected" for hours is water. He can play for up to four hours without feeling bored.

Thus, there is no reason for parents to be afraid whether the child gets cold or not. On the contrary, studies have shown that many pharyngitis and tracheobronchitis are cured only through play with water. When a child plays with water, it releases heat and therefore does not "cool down".

Equally healthy are sand and mud games. You can keep tools filled with sand or mud on the balconies of the house, so that children can play even when they are not in sandy or muddy places.

There is no need to be afraid that they may become "dirty". Playing with these elements is so powerful that it does not allow "dirt" to cause disease. They also influence the psychomotor system, the dexterity of the hands and the combination of what they see, what they want to do and what they manage to do.

The stages through which the game passes

The first stage - solitary, includes the age of 0-2 years, children play alone. They have a low level of cooperation with other children. The second stage-spectator, includes the age of 2-2 and a half. Children observe, observe other children, play around each other but do not get together. The third-parallel stage, includes the age of 2 and a half-3 years. Children play next to each other but do not play together. The fourth stage-associative or sociable, includes the age of 3-4 years.

Children begin to interact with other children in their games and perhaps co-operate but in a burst way. At this stage children begin to organize and form friendships and preferences for play and to be confident with other children. The game usually takes place with mixed groups in gender. Fifth stage - cooperative, over four years old. Children play together with other members without limit for their toys.

The game covers all five areas of development:

• sensory and cognitive development

• emotional development

• social development

• language development

• physical development
