All over the world, there are unique personal stories, like the one from Brazil. In this country, Kamila Rodrigues Cardoso, originally from Patos de Minas, changed her life completely after leaving the world of fashion to become a nun at the age of 18. She is now known as “Sister Eva” and her case has sparked curiosity and attention from around the world, going viral on social media.

Kamila Rodrigues didn't make this decision by chance, but when her life completely changed after losing her father at the age of nine. She told what happened in an interview with 'The Noite': "During my time as a model I thought I would have found my profession, but the loss of my father made me suffer from depression and anxiety. I started to think that being a model no longer filled my heart."

Despite this, she previously won the Miss Rising Sun Teen Continent beauty pageant, which led her to participate in Miss Brazil and then Miss Universe, but this did not change her previously mentioned idea, as she chose the world of religion.

"That's when I sought out the church and started praying the rosary. One day, during the sermon, I saw a nun passing by and I saw a very strong light in her. I began to admire her clothes, study the life of a nun and see myself with the rank and the veil," she explained in the aforementioned program.

Then she entered a convent and chose to change her name to Eve, something she also explained: "A symbolic choice for being the first woman in the stories of the Bible."

Today, she is already 21 years old and is part of the Congregation of Santa Dei Genitrix, an institution independent of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church in Brazil. Similarly, she stands out for her beauty when a video was released in which she appeared selling religious items.

Beyond that, she also maintains a discreet profile about her personal life, although she also uses social media to share her spiritual work and community activities.
