Jessie J diagnosed with breast cancer

British singer Jessie J has shared heartbreaking news with her followers on social media, revealing that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 37-year-old artist said the disease was caught at an early stage, adding in an emotional video: "Cancer is terrible in any form, but I'm clinging to the word 'early.'"

Jessie, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said she was diagnosed before the release of her latest single No Secrets, which was released on April 25. She added that she will undergo surgery after her performance at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15.

No Secrets is Jessie J's big comeback after a four-year hiatus, during which she became the mother of a son, Sky, now 2 years old, with her partner, basketball player Chanan Colman.

In the shared video, Jessie said:
"I was a little hesitant about whether to share it or not. I want to share it, but there are a lot of opinions from outside... I've always been a person who shares everything that goes on in life."

She explained that throughout this period she has been undergoing medical tests and checkups, but that she has not fully processed the news because she has been too focused on work:
"I am not processing it properly, because I am working non-stop."

Jessie also added that the surgery will take place over the summer and, with her trademark humor, said:
"I'm going to keep my nipples, that's a good thing. It's a weird topic and a weird situation."
