The biggest and most important event, the 'Emmy Awards', took place for the 77th consecutive time in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood-spoof comedy won the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, making history with a record number of awards. Creator Seth Rogen won Emmys for Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Writing, and Outstanding Director, sharing the award with his friend and colleague Evan Goldberg.

"Wow, thank you. I really don't understand what's going on. I've never won anything in my life. As a kid, I bought a used trophy at a fair and everyone agreed, 'You're right to buy it used,'" he said.

British actor Owen Cooper has become the youngest male actor ever to win an Emmy Award, on a night dominated by the acclaimed Netflix drama 'Adolescence'.

Cooper, 15, was named best supporting actor in a limited series for his portrayal of a high school student accused of murdering a classmate.

The four-part drama also won the award for best limited series, as well as awards for directing and writing, and acting awards for Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty.

"Standing up here is just, wow, it's just so surreal," he said.
