The truth behind Dijonis Biba's "arrest"

The winner of “Ferma VIP”, Dijonis Biba, has attracted the attention of the media and social networks after a huge bet that decided the Serbia-Albania match. Biba published a betting slip of 10 thousand euros on the victory of the National Team, which was realized after the goal of Rei Manaj, bringing him a profit of 55 thousand euros. This success quickly became a hot topic in the media.

After the victory, some media outlets and social networks began spreading the news that the State Police had launched an investigation into Biba because of his bet. This speculation has to do with the fact that sports betting is prohibited by law in Albania. Very often, this news has brought innuendos that Dijonis Biba could be called for explanations.

However, a fact-check has shown that there is no official source to confirm the launch of investigations against him. Neither the State Police nor the Prosecutor's Office have issued any statement on this matter. So, the news of the investigations remains an unverified speculation for the moment.
