In a very private ceremony, Prince Leka and Blerta Celibashi are engaged, not married as previously reported by various media outlets.

The news of the engagement was made public through an official announcement from the Albanian Royal Palace.

"The Royal Family is pleased to announce the engagement of His Highness Crown Prince Leka II of the Albanians to Ms. Blerta Celibashi.

The engagement was celebrated joyfully on October 11, 2025, in Ksamil, in southern Albania, in the presence of family and close friends.

"The Royal Family shares its happiness with the Albanian people and expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all those who have conveyed their good wishes on this joyful occasion," the announcement states.
