Andrew and Tristan Tate facing extradition, brothers will face British justice,

Andrew and Tristan Tate will be extradited to the UK to face 21 criminal charges, including rape and human trafficking, after their trial in Romania is completed, their lawyers have confirmed.

The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised the charges against the British-American brothers, which date back to 2012-2015, following the submission of an investigation file by Bedfordshire Police. The charges also include causing bodily harm and controlling prostitution for financial gain.

The Romanian court has ruled that the brothers can only be extradited to Britain after the conclusion of court proceedings in Romania, which currently have no set deadline.

"Once these proceedings are completed in their entirety, they will then return to face the UK charges."

Andrew Tate, 38, faces 10 charges relating to three alleged victims, while his brother Tristan, 36, faces 11 charges relating to one victim. Both have denied the allegations, calling them "completely untrue."

The brothers' lawyers have criticized the way the case has been handled by British authorities, claiming that their clients are facing a "media trial" and that they have not been provided with sufficient information to understand the charges against them.

Andrew and Tristan Tate have been at the center of investigations in Romania since December 2022, when they were first arrested on suspicion of rape, trafficking and sexual exploitation. In August 2024, they faced additional charges of sexual intercourse with a minor and trafficking of minors – charges they continue to deny.
