The famous singer, Adelina Tahiri, has made a strong confession, revealing for the first time that she was a victim of physical violence by her ex-partner, with whom she was the same age.

Tahiri has revealed that her ex-partner was the son of a high-ranking political official in Macedonia and that because of this misfortune she met her current husband, who was the lawyer who defended her from the rapist.

"I was with someone my age. Has anyone asked me how he treated me? Or why I broke up? We didn't get along, maybe there was violence against me. I was 19, it was very difficult and I didn't even tell my family. The only person I told was my lawyer, who is now my husband. And no one has ever stopped me to ask: 'Wait, why?' He has been there for me in every aspect," she said.

Adelina said that no one has stopped to ask her about her past, but there has been no shortage of prejudice about her marriage to an older Macedonian man.

"Money is very easy to make today, I didn't need a man for money. I came out and showed who my husband is, unlike many other singers," she added.

Speaking about her relationship with her husband, Tahiri said that he has been by her side every step of the way and that even if they separate, they will part peacefully.

"Today I live very happily, and even if I were to divorce, I would divorce my husband peacefully, because I have someone to talk to. I see him face to face and talk to him. But I do not accept violence in any way. I had to deal with a person whose father was a very important political official, and I found it very difficult. I was judged without reason."

When asked why she didn't speak up before, she said: 'I didn't want to speak out because I don't want to name names. It's not the right situation and time. Maybe someday in my life I will, but not now.'

"It's about corruption, positions and these kinds of things. But I haven't resigned. I went all the way to the ninth month of pregnancy," she said on T7, Insider reports. She called on people to stop prejudices and negative comments, emphasizing that no one knows what's hidden behind a photo on social media.

"However, I have always come out smiling and very strong. Even when I was pregnant, I was judged endlessly: 'You had a baby with this, with that… we will kill the baby!' Why are you judging? Therefore, we should not sit on Instagram and TikTok just to make negative comments. Don't do it, because you never know what is hidden behind that photo," she said.
