The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is extended again

A temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been extended for a seventh day, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday morning, minutes before the agreement was due to expire.

This is the second extension of the initial four-day ceasefire that began on Friday.

The ceasefire has resulted in the return of 70 Israelis under the agreement. During the pause, three Israeli dual nationals and twenty-four foreign nationals have also been released outside the deal.

In exchange, 210 Palestinians have been released from Israeli prisons, officials said.

Meanwhile, Israel will extend the ceasefire for each day that Hamas continues to release 10 hostages, a senior Israeli official said on Thursday.
