Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow today regarding talks to end the war in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Witkoff's meeting with Putin would take place in the second half of Tuesday, but he refused to back down from Russia's red lines, saying megaphone diplomacy was not helpful. Putin has repeatedly said he is ready to negotiate peace, but if Ukraine rejects a deal, then Russian forces will advance further and seize more Ukrainian territory.

The talks revolve around a 28-point plan. The plan, initially developed by Witkoff in close cooperation with the Kremlin, has been revised after talks with Ukrainian and European leaders to better reflect Kiev's position.
