Trump: Zelensky not ready to accept peace deal
Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky

Amid talks between delegations to end the war in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump says Volodymyr Zelensky has not read his peace plan. He expressed disappointment when asked by reporters about progress in the negotiations.

"We are talking to Putin and the Ukrainian leaders, including Zelensky. I have to say I am a little disappointed that Zelensky has not read the proposal yet. I think Russia agrees, but I am not sure if Zelensky agrees; his people like it," Trump said.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has a very busy agenda of meetings this week with European leaders.

He will meet in London, Brussels and Rome. These meetings come after days of intensive negotiations with the Americans to end the war.

"We are already starting a new diplomatic week: there will be consultations with European leaders. First, security issues, supporting our stability, defense support packages, then air defense, long-term financing for Ukraine. Of course, we will also discuss a common vision, common positions in the negotiations," Zelensky wrote.
