Trump asks pharmaceutical companies to disclose data on the effectiveness of
Donald Trump

President Donald Trump demanded that pharmaceutical companies publish data related to the success rate of their "drugs" against Covid, in order to clarify what he called a "mess" of inconsistencies over the products.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump wrote that he had seen "extraordinary" information "from Pfizer and others" that had never been released to the public. He expressed skepticism about why the data had not been released despite claims of the success of the "drug" against Covid.

"With the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) torn apart by this issue and disagreements with Health Secretary Bobby Kennedy Jr., I want answers, and I want them now and they clear up this MESS, one way or another!!!" Trump wrote on his social media account, Truth.

"I've received information from Pfizer and others, which is extraordinary, but they never seem to show these results to the public," the US president added.

Pfizer, the only company mentioned by Trump, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In a press release announcing the distribution of the new vaccines last week, the company included a link to its most recent presentation, from May, on the efficacy of its vaccine.
