The student is raped and thrown into the street, then hit and killed by a car

Three men and a teenage girl have been arrested on suspicion of raping a schoolgirl before dumping her on the road - where she was hit by a car and killed.

Madison Brooks, a 19-year-old college student, died after being hit by a car in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 15.

According to the police, she had been raped in another car and was left on the road, drunk, when she was hit. Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old have now been charged with third-degree rape.

Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, who were said to have been in the car but did not participate in the rape, were charged with third-degree rape.

Carver reportedly told police that he and the three other suspects had been at a club, known as Reggie's Bar, located near Louisiana State University, where Madison studied.

According to the arrest warrant, they had been drinking and left with the victim, whom they had met for the first time. Madison was eventually brought down near where she was hit by a driver on Burbank Drive around 3 a.m.

She had been standing in an unlit area at the time. The driver who stopped at the scene was not arrested and was not under the influence.

She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries. Arrest documents show Madison had a blood alcohol level of 0.319 percent at the time of her death, the Daily Mail reports, which is nearly four times the legal limit.
