The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has called the kidnapping of 3 Kosovo policemen by the Serbian police as a revenge by Serbia for yesterday's arrest of Millun Millenkovic, a person with criminal records.
Kurti says that the kidnapping of three policemen Rifat Zeka, Beqir Sefa and Mustafë Shemi happened 300 meters inside the territory of Kosovo. According to the Kosovar Prime Minister, the entry of Serbian forces into the territory of Kosovo is aggression and an attempt to escalate the situation.
Kurt's reaction:
Three Kosovo police officials were kidnapped today in Leposaviq in the place where there used to be an illegal smuggling route, which is located about 300 meters inside the territory of our state.
We suspect that they were kidnapped by the Serbian army, clearly as a revenge of Serbia for yesterday's arrest of the notorious criminal Millun Milenkovic - Lune, who represents one of the leaders of organized crime and smuggling.
The Kosovo Police have shown themselves to be very restrained in recent weeks.
The entry of Serbian forces into the territory of Kosovo is aggression and an aim for escalation and destabilization.
We demand the immediate release of the three kidnapped police officials and invite international factors to condemn this act of aggression by Serbia.
