The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, delivered her speech at the session held today in the European Parliament.

She called on the international partners to stand firm by Kosovo's side at this critical moment.

Osmani emphasized that Kosovo is Europe and being Kosovar means being European. " In the absence of the national anthem, Kosovo echoed with the European anthem ," said Osmani.

"I was 15 years old when the tanks entered Mitrovica. Europe had opened hearts and minds to a people who were systematically oppressed. Today, speaking before the EP, I want to say thank you. Thank you for the immense and continuous contribution that this institution has made to our freedom and democracy.

"The house is not kept without friends", said President Ibrahim Rugova. I am here today to express the deepest gratitude of the people of Kosovo for your unwavering stance. And precisely at this critical moment, I call on you to stand steadfastly by our side. Because the values ​​that this union represents are a fundamental part of our society. We continue to walk arm in arm and continue to fight for our common values.
