US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today that the Trump administration has begun revoking the visas of foreign nationals who have expressed support for or celebrated the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In a post on the "X" platform, Rubio stressed: "America will not accept foreigners celebrating the death of our citizens!"
He added that those in the US on a visa and supporting the public assassination of a political figure should prepare for deportation, Euronews writes.
Such measures had been warned earlier, against individuals who glorify or trivialize Kirk's murder, labeling them as "unwanted visitors" in the US.
This action is part of a broader administration policy to monitor the online activities of foreign nationals and take action against those who express violent or hateful ideologies.
Following Kirk's murder on September 10, 2025 in Utah, several individuals have expressed support for the act, leading to harsh reactions from American authorities.
Various companies and institutions, including Nasdaq and law firm Perkins Coie, have fired employees for inappropriate comments regarding Kirk's murder.
