Former US Assistant Secretary of State, James Rubin, continues his testimony for the third day at the Special Court in The Hague, summoned by the defense of former Kosovo President, Hashim Thaçi.

During the hearing, Rubin was asked if he was aware of any possible threats made by Thaçi against two members of the Kosovo delegation in Rambouillet, who were not part of the KLA.

He stated that he had no information about any physical threats.

"I was not aware of any physical threats from Thaçi. But we must distinguish physical pressure from moral or ideological pressure," Rubin stressed.

He added that, in fact, it was Thaçi himself who was placed under great diplomatic pressure by US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to sign the Rambouillet agreement.

"Secretary Albright has threatened Thaçi directly, telling him that if he does not sign and leaves the people unprotected by the Serbs, the consequences will be severe. I have also heard that Adem Demaçi has faced similar threats," Rubin said in his testimony.
